Route-scoped protocol translation policy (DW-100, routes[].translation).

When enabled, the gateway translates the request/response bodies between two wire protocols on this route’s forward and response paths. The kind selects the translation direction; the graphql and soap sub-blocks carry the direction-specific config.

The block parses and validates in every build (no cargo feature); the runtime translators are scaffolded and not yet dispatched from the request path.

Fields

kind: TranslationKind

The translation direction. Selects which translator runs and which sub-block (graphql or soap) carries the config.

graphql: Option<GraphqlTranslation>

REST <-> GraphQL translation config. Required when kind is rest_to_graphql or graphql_to_rest; ignored otherwise.

soap: Option<SoapTranslation>

SOAP/XML translation config. Required when kind is rest_to_soap or soap_to_rest; ignored otherwise.
