Timeout hints, in milliseconds.
Fields§
§connect_ms: Option<u64>Connect timeout in milliseconds.
read_ms: Option<u64>Read timeout in milliseconds.
write_ms: Option<u64>Write timeout in milliseconds.
happy_eyeballs_ms: Option<u64>Happy-eyeballs inter-connection delay in milliseconds (DW-030,
RFC 8305): when an endpoint’s address resolves to multiple
addresses, the first is dialed immediately and each subsequent
address — alternating address families after the resolver’s
first — is diailed this long after the previous START; the first
successful connection wins and cancels the losers. Absent: the
RFC 8305 recommended 250 ms. 0 disables racing (addresses are
tried strictly in resolver order, one at a time). The upstream’s
connect_ms remains the bound over the WHOLE dial: resolution
plus every interleaved attempt plus, for TLS upstreams, the
handshake. Only the overall dial’s single outcome reaches
breaker/passive-health accounting — the losing arms of one dial
are never counted as endpoint failures. Validation bounds the
value to at most 10 minutes.
