Http1
Http2
H2c
Cleartext HTTP/2 with prior knowledge (h2c, DP-02 #235). No TLS; the client speaks HTTP/2 directly over TCP. Common for internal east-west gRPC traffic without TLS.
Https
H3
HTTP/3 over QUIC (DW-108). QUIC mandates TLS 1.3, so an h3
upstream always negotiates TLS with ALPN h3; the
trusted_ca_file field selects the trust roots (the default
webpki public set, or a private-CA bundle). Requires the h3
cargo feature on dwara-bin to actually proxy: when the feature is
off the protocol is accepted at validation but the upstream is
inert (every dispatch fails closed with a clear error rather than
silently falling back to a wrong transport).
